Both the facilities and sports and animation programme on offer at this top family friendly hotel have been designed to make this hotel a first choice for families with children of all ages. The hotel’s outstanding facilities include 6 pools, a modern Zen spa, tennis courts, kids club, playground, a large climbing wall, a fitness room, mini market and Internet corner. The hotel rooms are stylish and modern and come with ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, telephone, flat screen satellite TV, mini bar, safe, hair dryer, WiFi and a private balcony or terrace. The kids club for 4 to 10 year olds offers organized play, kids shows and games, whilst the older children can choose from a wide variety of activities such as tennis, air rifle shooting, beach volleyball, climbing lessons, boccia, archery, darts, water sports and much more. There is also a large children’s playground as well as a pool table and table tennis, which both younger and older children enjoy.

Parents can choose between working out in the modern gym, joining the daily sports programme or getting pampered in the luxurious Zen Spa. Water sports fans will be in their element at the water sports centre a few kilometers away from our hotel. The centre offers wind surfing, kite surfing, banana boats, jet skis and much more. For the more adventurous, there is a diving school in nearby Kos. Families can also hire bikes from the hotel to explore the surrounding area.

In the evenings, our single parent families have dinner together at either the hotel’s main buffet restaurant or one of the two à la carte restaurants, which serve traditional Greek cuisine. After dinner they can enjoy the beautiful sunset over a drink at the hotel bar or join the evening entertainment which is great fun for all ages and includes shows, live music, discos  and a Greek evening.

Kos is an island of tropical beauty and luxuriant vegetation, endless beaches and a two thousand year history. Excavations near Kefalos suggest that the island has been inhabited since the Bronze Age. In the 5th century BC, it suffered a devastating earthquake and was conquered by the Persians. In 460 BC, Hippocrates, the ‘father of modern medicine’, was born here, and is said to have taught his students under a plane tree, which can still be seen in Kos Town. Over the centuries Kos was occupied by the Romans, Ottoman Turks and Italians. It has only been part of Greece since 1948.

Today Kos’ endless sandy beaches and archaeological sites attract thousands of visitors every year. The beachfront resorts boast an abundance of tavernas, shops, bars and restaurants, while the villages inland are quieter and have kept much of their traditional charm. The island’s capital, Kos Town, is a small Mediterranean town with distinctive architecture and pretty tree-lined streets and a lovely place to enjoy a spot of shopping or indulge in Greek specialities in one of the many restaurants and cafés.

For any of you who want to see more of this amazing island, we recommend a round-island trip by boat, a jeep safari through the island’s charming mountain villages and a visit of the nearby, town of Kos with its 14th century castle overlooking the harbour and two mosques from the Ottoman period. A visit of the hot thermal springs in Embros will prove an unforgettable experience and daily boat trips will take you to the beautiful neighbouring islands of Kalymnos and Pserimos.

"Thank you Sandra and team, my kids loved Kos, good food, great host in Tennessee, good pools, weather. Basically a very good holiday!"
- Simon, Lottie (7) & Elodie (5) (Kos holiday, August 2015)

"This is the fourth SPOH holiday that my son (13yrs) and I have been on and I would thoroughly recommend it to other single parents. We have some truly wonderful memories which my son and I will always cherish."
- Jacinta & James (13) (Kos, August 2013)

"I booked the SPOH with some trepidation having never tried a group holiday before. I need not have worried as it turned out to be the best holiday I have ever been on as a single parent with my boys. All three of us had a superb time and we made new friends, which I hope we will keep for life. I am already looking at the SPOH website for next year."
- Jane, Luke (15) Joe (13) (Kos, August 2013)

"Well organised holiday in lovely hotel with great views and large pool that never felt crowded. Food in main restaurant was excellent. Barely saw my children all week as they were having so much fun with other children on the holiday. Climate perfect as there was always a cool sea breeze. Would definitely recommend both Kos and SPOH."
- Catherine, Joe (16), Harry (13) & Tilly (7) (Kos, August 2013)

The booking process is very smooth and after going on 3 SPOH holidays I know the hotel and support when there will be fantastic! My son and I have made great friends on each trip and Will has had a super time with children his age. Cannot wait to book for 2014!"
