Join us in Agadir, the jewel of Morocco, for an unforgettable week of culture, adventure and relaxation! We will stay at the 4-star Iberostar Founty Beach, a stunning family hotel with excellent facilities and a friendly atmosphere – the perfect base to both relax and discover more of Agadir and its surroundings. Our hotel enjoys a prime location directly on Agadir’s fine golden beach overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and is only a short walk away from the fantastic beachfront promenade with countless souks, bars and restaurants.

The hotel’s beautiful pool landscape is surrounded by 2,500 acres of gardens where you can sunbathe and laze away on hammocks. The wide beach with its fine golden sand stretches for miles and has a private area for hotel guests. Rooms are spacious with ensuite bathroom, telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, free WiFi, mini bar, hair dryer, safety deposit box and private balcony or terrace. For your wellbeing, the hotel has an indoor pool with Jacuzzi (adults only), a fitness room, sauna, steam room and treatment rooms for a wide range of massages and beauty treatments.

On those days where you are not out and about exploring Morocco with your host, you can choose from the wide range of superb sports and teenage facilities the hotel has to offer, such as two tennis courts and a well-equipped, modern fitness room. Other activities include aerobics, basketball, beach volleyball, football and bowling. In addition, Arabic dance lessons are available free of charge. If you like water sports, you can hire jet skis and dinghies at the water sports centre near the hotel.

Younger kids will love the Mini Club for 4 to 8 year olds and the Maxi Club for 9 to 12 year olds offering supervised childcare with organised play, arts and crafts, face painting, mini-disco and sports, giving you time to relax, pamper yourself or pursue one of the many free activities! Our hotel also caters particularly well for youngsters aged 13 to 18 with a Teenie Programme which is great for meeting other teenagers and participating in activities such as table tennis, football, water polo, volleyball, basketball, darts, bowling, games and aerobics.

In the evening, our single parent families dine together at either the hotel’s main restaurant or the themed restaurant where they can indulge in local specialities. After dinner, there are daily shows to keep everyone entertained with live bands performing traditional and international music allowing you to put your newly acquired Arabic dancing skills to use! If you feel like venturing out of the hotel after dinner, you could go for a stroll along the palm-lined promenade and watch the sun go down from one of the many sea front bars.

Excursions: Your Single Parents on Holiday host will tell you all about the country and its people, trips and tips upon arrival! He/she has excellent local knowledge and will prepare a fun programme exclusively for our group. A city tour of Agadir to visit the hilltop ruins of the old Kasbah in the north of Agadir from where you can enjoy stunning views over the city, the Suq al-Had market filled with the spices of North Africa and much more is a must do. If you feel more adventurous, you can practice your balance in Agadir’s first high rope garden or go on a dromedary ride, buggy safari or ride on horseback through Agadir’s estuary dunes – an unforgettable experience whichever you choose! To enjoy a sea-side view of Agadir join us on our ‘Muscat’ catamaran trip. Last but not least, if you have always dreamt of visiting Marrakesh, we will organise a day trip for you to see some of its famous sights such as Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Mosque and Jemaa el-Fnaa square.

Agadir is known as the jewel of Morocco. Bordering one of the most beautiful bays in the world, Agadir is best known for its wonderful beaches and year-round sunshine. It is also one of the major fishing ports serving the area and it is worth going to the port to see the bustling fish auction.

The city offers a different vibe from most others in Morocco. After a tragic earthquake destroyed the city and killed thousands in 1960, the late Mohammed V rebuilt Agadir. The city’s main attraction is the 16th century Kasbah from where you have stunning hilltop views. The Coco Polizzi Medina is an impressive and beautiful reproduction of the old town. The modern quarter and the charming small village called Immouzer des Ida-Outanane are also well worth a visit. For art lovers Agadir’s Museum of Berber Art is another great cultural spot. It is a small folk art museum showing carpets, costumes and other traditional 19th century Moroccan objects.

Our popular family hotel enjoys a prime location directly on Agadir’s fine golden beach, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and is only a short walk away from the fantastic beachfront promenade with countless souks, bars and restaurants. Agadir has many truly fabulous restaurants, from authentic Moroccan to French Moroccan fusion.

"Had an amazing holiday. All the children got on wonderfully well, and the parents really jelled. A wonderful holiday in every aspect."
- Jayne & Dominic (15) (Agadir holiday, July/August 2012)

"This is the 3rd holiday James (12yrs) and I have been on with SPOH and we have loved every one. The quality of the hotels is superb and Sandra and the team are an absolute pleasure to be with, they really go out of their way to make sure everyone has a fantastic holiday, children and parents alike."
- Jacinta & James (12) (Agadir holiday, July/August 2012)

"Had a fabulous time in Morocco, the hotel was very comfortable, food excellent, staff were very friendly and helpful. We did a mixture of pool and sea and beach. Plenty of activities for the teenagers including table tennis, water and beach volley ball and my son used the football pitch. We did 3 trips on offer, the camel ride, Agadir and the boat trip, all were good fun. I met the other parents at the airport and dined with them every night, 9 adults and 10 kids and we all got on really well together. Esther and Abdelaziz were wonderful hosts. Abdelaziz was available every day and accompanied us on all the trips, he also took us on a walk along the promenade one evening. Thanks SPOH, another fabulous experience."
- Jane, Ryan (15) & Ceri (13) (Agadir holiday, July/August 2012)

"It is a fantastic idea for single parents and for the children of single parents to be able to get together like this. It was my first time and I would recommend it to other single parents. The venues are wonderful. For the first time in years I really felt like I had a proper holiday. "
- Anonymous (Agadir holiday, July/August 2012)

"Does what it says on the tin – provides a happy and friendly environment for single parents and their children to make friends and enjoy a social holiday experience"
- Ben & Joseph (14) (Agadir holiday, July/August 2012)

"My son said this is the best holiday he’s ever been on. I enjoyed the trips and met some really wonderful people, I would definitely book with SPOH again."
- Lisa & Charles (8) (Agadir holiday, July/August 2011)

"Unlike our last two summer holidays, this wasn’t just a beach/pool/eat-as-much-as-you-can holiday (although it catered for those things brilliantly!). What my son and I both found refreshingly different was the opportunity to meet people in similar circumstances, and to do varied, well-organised but optional activities with them. Our accommodation was as comfortable as our “assistant” Daniela was friendly and helpful. We’d certainly go on another trip with SPOH!"
- Andy & Tom (11) (Agadir holiday, July/August 2011)

"We have been with other single parent holiday companies before but you were by far head and shoulder above the rest. Superb quality hotels, rep was fun. We really enjoyed our time in Morocco. I wish I found you years ago!"
- Jane, Jessica (16) & Emily (13) (Agadir holiday, August 2010)

"This holiday exceeded expectations (and that’s saying something, having been very delighted with a previous SPOH trip)! I would recommend this holiday for anyone who wants a relaxed atmosphere, friendly and enthusiastic hotel staff, superb accommodation, and lots to do. What made it so exceptional was that all 3 of my children (ranging in age from 21 down to 9) loved it."
- Karen, Emily (20), Sam (19) & Tom (9) (Agadir holiday, August 2010)
