Accommodation:

The 5-star IBEROSTAR Selection Lanzarote Park Hotel was renovated and refurbished in 2016 and has since won numerous awards, amongst them Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best 2021 award. Our hotel enjoys a prime location next to the golden sandy beach of Playa Flamingo, a safe cove ideal for family swimming with its calm waters and gentle surf. There are many shops, cafés and restaurants close by, and if you stroll a little further along the promenade past the harbour, you will reach a pedestrian zone with more shops and the sandy beach of Playa Blanca with more cafés and restaurants along the seafront. Our hotel boasts great facilities including several family pools, an infinity pool, a splash pad for toddlers and two fun pools with a total of 8 slides. There are kids clubs for all ages, an amazing spa, fitness rooms, tennis court, multi-sports court, playground and much more. Rooms are modern and stylish and come with en-suite bathroom and balcony or terrace.

Things to do in Lanzarote:

Your host will organize activities and excursions for our single parent families, such as trips to the  nearby water park, the famous Papagayo Beaches, the Timanfaya National Park and the fishing village of El Golfo. At the hotel there is a sports and animation programme on offer including, amongst others, fitness classes, aqua aerobics, live shows and mini discos. Water sports are available on Dorada Beach. Our prices:

Adults are £1250, first children start at £1060 and second children children at £795. More details can be found here. Included in your package is all-inclusive board, double room with side sea view, and transfers from/to Lanzarote airport, use of kids club, etc. Not included are your flights.

Programme

Kids facilities and kids clubs:

The hotel offers facilities and activities for all ages, from 0 to 17: The mini club for 4 to 7 year olds has brand new facilities and offers supervised activities indoors and at the pool. The maxi club for 8 to 12 years olds and the teenage club meet in the club room and have their own activity programmes including darts, archery, beach volleyball, boules, water park, and more. The club room is equipped with computers, TV, sofas, video games, and table football – everything you need on a holiday with teenagers. There is also a playground, pool table, and table tennis in the grounds of the hotel.

The beach and water sports:

Playa Flamingo offers a safe cove ideal for family swimming with its calm waters and gentle surf. Water sports are available on Dorada Beach and include, amongst others, kayaking, windsurfing, diving and catamaran sailing. You can also book Segways and scooters, boat trips, rent a bike or a quad bike or enjoy a banana boat ride, and other fun activities in the town centre of Playa Blanca.

Excursions:

We will organize activities and excursions for our group. Lanzarote is famous for the Papagayo Beaches, a series of secluded beaches known for their outstanding natural beauty and the Timanfaya National Park with its volcanic lunar landscape and impressive fire mountains. You can go on a camel ride here and continue your journey to the fishing village of El Golfo with stunning views across the green lagoon. Kids love going in the submarine, and watching some of the underwater world. Last but not least, the waterpark Aqualava is very close to the hotel.

In the evenings, our single parents can dine together in the hotel’s excellent buffet restaurant, enjoy a drink at one of the hotel’s bars, and relax watching live music, shows and more. There are many shops, cafés and restaurants close by, and, if you stroll along the promenade past the harbour, you will reach a pedestrian zone with more shops and the sandy beach of Playa Blanca with more cafés and restaurants along the seafront.

About Lanzarote

Lanzarote and Playa Blanca:

Lanzarote is the most easterly of the Canary Islands, situated just 79 km off the coast of Africa. The island’s volcanic origin means Lanzarote boasts unique geographical features including the longest volcanic tunnel in the world, the Atlantida Tunnel. Beautiful beaches, a host of things to do and a dry climate with an average daily temperature of 26°C and 10 hours of sunshine make Lanzarote a popular holiday destination for families in August.

Our hotel is located in the family resort of Playa Blanca at the seafront of Flamingo beach, and within walking distance of the resort centre and the “white beach” of Playa Blanca, from which the town takes its name. The beaches in Playa Blanca have a European Blue Flag for cleanliness, and there are bars, cafes, restaurants and shops dotted along the seafront. The resort is at the southernmost tip of the island, flanked by the Femes Mountains on one side and the Montana Roja on the other. Its location means the town is sheltered from higher winds, and enjoys the most pleasant temperatures on the island. The view across to Fuerteventura is breathtaking.

Lanzarote is also home to the famous Papagayo Beaches – a series of secluded beaches known for their outstanding natural beauty, which are now a nature reserve and can be accessed via a bumpy road or water taxi from Playa Blanca harbour. Other sites worth visiting include Timanfaya National Park with its volcanic lunar landscape and impressive fire mountains, and the former capital Teguise with its bustling market every Sunday. You can also go on a submarine safari which is a unique  experience for all ages.

"Stan and I had such a great week in Lanzarote, from the warmth of the host (Jane) to the standard of the hotel (amazing!). We couldn't have wished for anything better. "This was my first Single Parents on Holiday and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The quality of the hotel, food and location was excellent (proved by Theo going back several times at each meal!). We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with the “The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018” all passengers booking with Single Parents on Holiday Ltd. are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation invoice. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Single Parents on Holiday Ltd.
