Come and join us on a solo ski holiday in 2018! Are you a single parent with children too old to join you on holiday? Or maybe you don’t want to miss out on that ski trip you look forward to so much, but the dates don’t coincide with your children’s school holidays? Does your partner not ski, but you’d love to go on a ski holiday? Whether you’re single or not, ski holidays are far more fun in the company of like-minded adults. On our solo ski holiday, you’ll benefit from the services of our Austrian host and ski guide, who will not only escort you on piste, but also stay with the group at the hotel, and organise group dinners, ski hire and other fun winter and evening activities for our solo travellers.

For this solo ski holiday we will be staying at the 4-star Cordial Hotel Reith in the famous ski region of Kitzbühel, with its great views of the Kitzbühel Horn and Wilder Kaiser mountains. Our comfortable hotel offers everything our guests will need after a day’s skiing or snowboarding, with spacious and comfortable double rooms – reserved for single occupancy – featuring cable TV, telephone, safety deposit box and mini bar, and an ensuite bathroom with hairdryer, bathrobe and spa basket.  To ensure our solo skiers are ready for the slopes, our hotel also has its own ski rental shop and a ski cellar to store equipment.

After an active day on the slopes, you can stop for an après-ski drink, or relax in the hotel’s sauna and spa area, before indulging in a delicious 5-course dinner at our hotel. If you fancy a night out, meanwhile, the famous resort of Kitzbühel, with its many bars, shops, cafés, restaurants and casino, is a mere 10 minutes away by taxi.

Skiing/snowboarding: The entrance to the famous Kitzbühel-Kirchberg ski circuit, with the famous Streif downhill race, 179 km of perfectly-prepared pistes for all abilities and 54 modern lifts, is in Kirchberg, just 5 minutes by shuttle from our hotel in Reith/Kitzbühel. The shuttle stops directly in front of our hotel.

Austria offers some of the best facilities in the world for beginners and advanced skiers alike, and its ski schools are renowned for their qualified instructors. You can book group or private lessons if you’re a beginner or want to improve your skills. If you prefer to ski with the rest of the group, you can join your host who will guide all intermediate/advanced skiers down the slopes.

Other activities on offer: We offer a range of other winter activities to complement your solo ski holiday, including a torch lit walk, curling on the nearby Schwarzsee, floodlit tobogganing followed by a traditional Tyrolean dinner at a hut, and night skiing. You can also try out snow-shoe hikes or cross-country skiing, of course, take it easy after a day on the piste at the hotel’s large spa with indoor pool, or enjoy a drink at one of the many après-ski bars.

Reith is a small village only 6 km from the well-known resort of Kitzbühel, home to the most famous downhill race in the world – the Streif, widely viewed as the ultimate challenge for all skiers. Skiresort.de, the world’s largest test portal for ski resorts, voted the Kitzbühel ski region the best ski resort in the world in 2016 – for the 5th year running – and with 179 km of perfectly-prepared pistes and 54 modern lifts, you can see why it’s so far ahead of the competition. The entrance to the Kirchberg-Kitzbühel ski region is in Kirchberg, only 3 km away from our hotel in Reith and within easy reach of the ski shuttle directly outside our hotel.

Reith offers a calm and relaxing alternative to the buzzy resort of Kitzbühel. Our hotel in Reith is within walking distance of the picturesque Schwarzsee lake, where we will organise an evening of ice curling or skating. As well as the best skiing in the world, the region offers a wide range of activities for winter sports lovers, including endless cross-country tracks, floodlit tobogganing, night skiing, snowshoe hikes and ski touring. Located at the heart of the Alps, between the Kitzbüheler Horn and Hahnenkamm, the legendary town of Kitzbühel, with its top-class restaurants, bars and shops, is undoubtedly one of the world’s most famous ski resorts.

"Being the first SPOH ski trip without our children I was a little bit apprehensive before the holiday. The size of the group was perfect, not too small and not too large that the group gets divided. The first couple of days was strange as I missed the noise of the children but after that it was one of the best SPOH holidays I have been on. All the adults were nice and with different skiing ability. I will most likely book this trip again!"

"SPoH know how to put a holiday together. They make sensible and wise choices regarding location, hotels and facilities. Sandra, our host, made every effort possible to ensure that each and everyone of our needs were catered for which is not easy. Unlike some companies which just meet and greet you in the morning and evening, SPoH stay with you helping you to find the best bits and get the most out of your holiday. It requires great skill, patience, judgement and careful handling to manage a group of unknowns especially on a ski slope but Sandra made it look easy. Thank you for a wonderful time. I look forward to travelling with you again."
