Our superior 4-star Athena Beach Hotel has been awarded Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice in 2023 as well as “Best Hotel Chain” Award at the Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards 2024! Only a few kilometres away from Paphos harbour and close to Paphos’ archaeological sites, shops, and restaurants, this wonderful hotel is set in beautiful gardens directly on the beach. It has outstanding leisure facilities, such as the ‘Oasis Splash’ with a 25 m waterslide and a brand new ‘Easy-ride’ 42 m long waterslide with separate landing pools, and a colourful splash gaming pad with spray toys and water games for younger guests. In addition, there are several pools, crazy golf, playground, spa with indoor pool, fitness room, games room, boccia, table tennis and a kids club. You can also use the tennis court and bowling greens at the sister hotel next door.

Things to do in Paphos:

For those wishing to keep up their exercise regime on holiday, there is a daily sports programme including fitness classes, aqua aerobics and yoga, as well as a modern fitness room. If you enjoy a bit of pampering, our hotel has a lovely spa with an indoor pool, steam room and sauna, and a range of spa treatments on offer (at a surcharge). There is also a variety of water sports available on the beach outside the hotel. And for anyone wishing to see more of the surrounding area, bike hire, buses and taxis are available directly outside the hotel. Adults are £1250, with first children under 12 starting at £900 and second children under 12 at £675. Please go to Prices to find out more. Programme

With its superb sports facilities and many things to do in close proximity, the 4-star Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel is the ideal place for families, who like to keep active on a beach holiday.

Kids facilities and kids club:

Our hotel has a kids club for 4 to 12 year olds, which offers a kids’ programme, including organised play, sports, and arts and crafts. There is also a playground, kids pool, a colourful splash area for the youngest, and two huge water slides to keep the kids entertained. For the older children, there is a games room, table tennis, boccia, and plenty of other leisure activities, such as the flood lit tennis court next door making it a great choice for a holiday with teenagers.

The beach and water sports:

Our hotel is set on a long stretch of sandy beach where jetties allow easy access to the rockier parts of the sea. For all water sports lovers there are a couple of water sports centres at the beach in short walking distance, offering paragliding, banana boat rides, jet skiing and much more.

Excursions and activities:

For anyone wishing to see more of Cyprus on their single parent holiday, there is a range of additional activities and excursions on offer. We recommend a day at the nearby Aqua Park, a jeep safari through the countryside, a boat trip to the famous Blue Lagoon, a Cypriot evening with traditional food, music and dance, or a cultural day out visiting the archaeological site in Paphos. More information about additional activities and excursions will be provided by your SPoH tour leader upon arrival.

This single parent holiday is offered on an all-inclusive basis with breakfast and dinner served at the hotel’s main buffet restaurant while lunch, snacks, and drinks can be enjoyed all day long at one of the a la carte restaurants or at the pool and beach bars. After dining together in the evenings, our single parents can chill out at the cocktail bar or enjoy the evening entertainment programme, including shows and live music and discos for the younger children.

About Paphos

Cyprus – the island:

Cyprus is the third largest and third most populated island in the Mediterranean. Cyprus gained its independence from the United Kingdom in 1960. Despite a constitution which guaranteed a degree of power-sharing between the Greek Cypriot majority and the Turkish Cypriot minority, the two populations clashed in 1974, which ultimately resulted in the occupation of the northern and eastern 40% of the island by Turkey. The island’s capital is Nicosia, which is divided into a Greek and Turkish part.

Cyprus is rich in history. According to Greek Mythology, Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, was born in Cyprus and rose from the foam near a rock of what is today called Aphrodite’s Beach. The island also has the reputation of having been the playground of the Greek Gods. Paphos where we will stay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with important sites such as the Mosaics of Nea Paphos, the Tombs of the Kings, the Temple Aphrodite (Aphrodite’s Sanctuary) and other archaeologically important sites taking you on a journey back into the past.

Aside from its rich history, Cyprus is renowned for its beautiful diverse landscape of mountains, forests, gorges, vineyards, lakes and rivers, waterfalls and endless sandy beaches. The Mediterranean climate in Cyprus ensures long sunny and dry summers and mild winters, making it a popular holiday destination all year round.

"A 10 to 15 minute private transfer from Paphos airport to the Athena Beach Hotel. Greeted by our wonderful rep Jane at this stunning hotel. Our room was large with air con, everything you want a mini bar, hairdryer, tv, iron, super comfy bed.
The hotel was full but there were never queues for drinks/food and we always got a sun lounger (you have to be early for one around the pool). The hotel grounds merge onto the beach, the sea is clear however the sea bed is undulating rocks but it didn't stop us snorkelling and swimming.
Food is in abundance and very nice too, waiter service was faultless both in restaurants and around the hotel grounds.
Jane organised several trips including aquapark, sunset cruise and a little shopping in the old town of Paphos and its harbour.
My son and I made amazing friendships and spent the days and nights with new friends, mums and dads all looked out for each other's children, whatsapp came in handy with meet ups and times of what's going on, such as cocktails on the terrace. My only downside a little was that the evening entertainment was nice but repetitive. There is still plenty of places to go outside hotel if you wish.
SPOH was amazing, you have the comfort of someone to help you if needed. Jane was fantastic on our trip."

Your airport transfers are included in your holiday price if you arrive/depart on our advertised holiday dates: On this holiday, this means, you will be picked up from Paphos International Airport by taxi and taken directly to your hotel where your tour leader will welcome you. Your return transfer is also included in our price. Please note that you might share your airport transfers with other single parent families in our group (short waiting times might apply). Our hotel is only 13 km away from Paphos airport.

We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with the “The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018” all passengers booking with Single Parents on Holiday Ltd. are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation invoice. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Single Parents on Holiday Ltd.
