"I had a wonderful week in Montenegro. Having been on SPOH vacations in the past with my young son (now 19 years old), I knew I would be in good hands for my first solo holiday with this company. I would highly recommend trying one of the solo holidays, in fact I can't wait to book the next one!
Montenegro didn't disappoint. From the wonderful hotel, to it's amazing location on the Bay of Kotor, from the enjoyable excursions organised by our guide, to just meeting up with the group each day for mealtimes or just chilling with them by the pool. You can be as involved with the group as much as you like or take a little time to do your own thing.

"An excellent week of skiing with Single Parents on Holiday. Very well organised tour with genuine personal service - which is so rare these days. Host Sandra is a delight. Hotel was very good - nice rooms with single occupancy and good food. Hard to find a solo ski group of mature age travellers, but it worked really well - lovely bunch of people who were good company and had a real sense of humour. Local ski area was large and we had excellent ski guiding included. Would have absolutely no hesitation in returning to do the same tour or using SPOH for another solo ski trip. Bravo!"

"This was my first 'solo' ski trip and I have to say that it worked extremely well. Good to have a variety of abilities in the group and to be able to split up to suit peoples' need for speed, or not! The guiding was top notch and I was more than happy to obey instructions and just 'follow'. Pre-dinner drinks and the meal that followed were full of chat and stories with some longer term friendships formed.
Overall very relaxed and informal with a gathering of like-minded folk who provided great companionship and conversation over the course of the week."

In my experience this holiday provider has no competition with any other travel provider as they offer a unique opportunity for single skiers to join a cohesive group in similar circumstances with single room occupancy accommodation and group skiing .... but perhaps this should be a well kept secret!

"I have been on 6 ski trips with SPOH now & they are always well organised. It's so good to arrive at a new resort knowing there'll be someone to show you around. Whatever your standard there's always someone to ski with and it's lovely to meet new fun people every year - as well as catching up with old friends. The hotels are comfortable & usually have pools/saunas so you can relax after a hard day on the slopes!"

"Folgarida is a small village close to a gondola lift that takes you up to the start of the ski area.
The area is extensive with slopes to suit everyone. It is possible to ski back to Folgarida at the end of the day, conditions allowing.
Sandra is excellent. She makes everyone very welcome and ensures we all feel part of the group from the start. Sandra and Anne, her co-host, know the region very well and make sure we ski the whole area during the course of the week.
I have no hesitation in recommending this solo ski holiday. "

"I have been on quite a few solos ski holidays with SPOH & Folgarida is one of my favourite destinations. There is skiing for all abilities & the area is quite extensive. Transport to & from the Belvedere Gondola is a great service although some prefer to walk through the woods & ski down to the Folgarida Gondola. The Hotel Nivis is a lovely friendly, family run hotel. Sandra as always was a great host & Andrea was always available for pre-holiday questions. I would definitely recommend SPOH solos ski holidays."

"This was my 6th solos ski holiday with Single Parents on Holiday & I was not disappointed. Sandra as always was a great host. This was a new area for Sandra but it didn't disappoint. The ski area covers Madonna di Campiglio, Groste, Spinale, Pinzolo as well as Folgarida & there's plenty skiing for all abilities. The Nivis Hotel previously Alp Hotel Taller is a family run hotel ideally situated either to walk to the piste or the hotel runs a shuttle bus to & from the gondola. There is a lovely spa & a gym. I would be very happy to book this holiday again."

"I had a wonderful skiing trip in Mayrhofen this year with SPoH. The hotel was very comfortable and clean with a wide choice of food. It is well located for accessing the ski lifts, shops and the bars in town.
The stay was special as Sandra is an amazing host. She is very kind, helpful and hardworking and she went out of her way to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we all felt very welcome into the group. The group are friendly and we all had a lot of fun on our trip.

It was my first visit to the resort and I loved it. The hotel was in a great location. The facilities in the hotel, the town and on the mountain were all excellent.
Sandra was (as always) a fabulous host while we were all in resort but she and Andrea also made the whole booking process so smooth and easy.
It was an absolutely brilliant week with great company, skiing, food and lots of belly laughs!

"This was my third Solo ski trip (fourth Solo holiday) and it did not disappoint / lived up to my expectations. It was also my second visit to the Hotel Steiner in Obertauern.
We were a smaller group this year but that made no difference whatsoever, I had a great holiday that was very well organised (prior to and during the trip) and with great company. Sandra even managed to sway (almost) perfect ski & weather conditions!
The hotel was great - a real find with a lot on offer and very friendly staff ... and so easy for accessing the piste.
I cannot recommend the SPOH Solo Holidays enough ... I always have such a good time and would highly recommend them to anyone who may be considering it!"

"I am 65 years old, a fit and capable skier with many years of experience. I love to go to the mountains every year, usually with family or friends. Unfortunately, my partner, because of injury, will never ski again, so sometimes I have gone skiing on my own when there are no family or friends to go with. It is fair to say, skiing on one’s own is a bit of a lonely experience.

This year I looked for a singles ski trip and found the Obertauen trip with Sandra and Single Parent Holidays. I have never done anything like this before and it would be true to say I was a bit reticent at first, I did not know what to expect. "Having had such a great time on my solo holiday in 2022 (to Schladming) I was nervous to book again in case this one didn't live up to my expectations. I shouldn't have been - I had yet another fantastic holiday.
Prior to departing the UK, Sandra and Andrea were both very helpful and communicative through the booking and planning process and then Sandra was in Obertauern to meet us on arrival and spend the week with us. It was so nice to see her again.
The group were a mix of previous and new guests which was great fun. The hotel was fabulous and the pistes were easily accessed ... if only the weather Gods had been a little more on our side ... not that that stopped us getting out on to the slopes every day. Then there were the spa facilities to relax in before drinks and dinner - bliss.

"I was slightly apprehensive about going on this type of holiday as I'm neither single or a parent. I'm also 65 years old & haven't holidayed on my own before. There were quite a few on the same flight as me & we all started chatting on the transfer to the hotel & I immediately felt at ease. Sandra was there to welcome us & arranged for everyone to meet in the bar before dinner & soon got to know everyone & I wasn't the oldest. I was very happy to go to my room straight after dinner as it was usually around 10pm but if I'd wanted to hit the bars in town I would have had plenty company. ".Excellent skiing trip to Zurs. It's a big ski area with easy options to ski at St Anton or Lech as well as staying in Zurs with a ski lift 50m from the hotel. Hotel is comfortable with super friendly staff and not so big. Service is really individual which is great. Our host, Sandra, moved heaven and earth to make sure no detail of our trip was overlooked from transfers to skiing outings that suited all abilities. Highly recommended."

It was not my first Solos trip with SPOH and most certainly will not be my last. The choice of hotel was excellent as was the resort given its links to Lech, St Anton and a few other smaller ski areas. The organisation - both prior to and during the trip - was as great as it always is.
I had such a good holiday with fabulous company and would definitely recommend this - and other - Solo trip(s) to anyone considering it. Thank you! "

"Excellent skiing trip to Zurs. It's a big ski area with easy options to ski at St Anton or Lech as well as staying in Zurs with a ski lift 50m from the hotel. Hotel is comfortable with super friendly staff and not so big. Service is really individual which is great. Our host, Sandra, moved heaven and earth to make sure no detail of our trip was overlooked from transfers to skiing outings that suited all abilities. Highly recommended."

"I had a lovely week of skiing with a very friendly group. Although I was amongst the weaker skiers, I felt the better skiers went out their way to support me and guide me. Sandra was a wonderful host and organised everything extremely well. The ski area around Zürs was fantastic with no queues and empty pistes compared to other ski areas, and the hotel very friendly and comfortable, as well as being handy for the slopes."

"This was my 4th solos ski trip with SPOH & I was not disappointed. I have been in this region before but it was a first for SPOH. The Erzberg Hotel is a lovely family run boutique hotel with the added bonus of being ski-in, ski-out. The Arlberg region is vast covering St Anton, Stuben, Zurs, Lech, Warth/Schrocken. Sandra as always was an excellent host. I was slightly concerned that 6th April was going to be a bit late for a skiing trip but I needn't have worried, there was lots of snow. Yes it did get a bit slushy in the afternoon but only to be expected at this time of the year. I am in my late 60s & would highly recommend this trip to others, I will definitely be booking again next year. "
