Solo ski holiday in the famous Ziller Valley:

Mark the beginning of 2023 with a fabulous ski holiday in Austria’s famous Ziller Valley: Join our singles and solo travellers in their 40s, 50s, and 60s in the charming village of Fügen. As usual, this solo ski holiday will be accompanied by our Single Parents on Holiday team member/s who will organise every aspect of your trip.

Your superior 4-star accommodation:

Join us at the superior 4-star Gartenhotel Crystal in the small village of Fügen, the entrance to the Ziller Valley. Our hotel boasts fantastic facilities including a large indoor pool, an amazing spa with several saunas and heated outdoor saline pool, a modern fitness room, a cosy bar, and a restaurant with wonderful views of the Ziller Valley Alps. The rooms are beautifully furnished and come with ensuite bathroom, radio, TV, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, telephone and safe deposit box. We offer this holiday on half board plus basis, with large breakfast buffet, après-ski snack with savoury dishes and cakes and 5-course dinner.

The ski resorts Spieljoch and Hochzillertal-Hochfügen:

Our hotel in Fügen is the perfect starting point for a solo ski holiday. The cable car connecting you to the ski region of Spieljoch with 13 miles of slopes, and 11 lifts is just 300 metres away from our hotel. Additionally, our solo travellers will have their own shuttle to the amazing Hochzillertal-Hochfügen ski region, with 50 miles of black, 250 miles of red, and 100 miles of blue runs. Our Prices:

£1170 per person, which includes single occupancy of a spacious double room with en-suite bathroom and balcony, half board, après-ski snack, taxi or shuttle transfers from/to Innsbruck airport and shuttle transfers from/to Munich airport, and services of our tour leader who will organise lift passes, ski hire, and ski lessons and offer company on and off the slopes. Programme

The ski region:

At the entrance to the Ziller Valley you will find the ski regions of  Spieljoch, Hochfügen and Hochzillertal. Our hotel is close to the small Spieljoch ski region with 13 miles of slopes, 11 lifts, and two magic carpets. The pistes are ideal for beginners, cruisers and anyone wanting to take it easy. In addition, we will offer an exclusive ski shuttle directly from our hotel to the amazing Hochzillertal-Hochfügen ski region for any intermediate and advanced skiers wanting to explore the large ski region, which consistently ranks amongst the top 20 in Europe. With 39 lifts, 52 downhill slopes, amazing deep snow skiing, valley runs,  night skiing, and a snowpark, it offers a vast range of possibilities for skiers and boarders of all abilities. To ensure everyone has company on the slopes, your host/s will be there to ski with our group.

Ski school registration and ski hire are right next to our hotel and your host will help organise lift passes, equipment, lessons, etc. on arrival.

Why not try tobogganing on Spieljoch, or hiking through the mountains on foot or snow shoes? In addition, Fügen has a fantastic thermal spa in walking distance of our hotel with large indoor and outdoor pools, heated by natural thermal springs and a generously laid-out spa with a range of saunas.

About Fügen, Ziller Valley

The Ziller Valley

The Ziller Valley is surrounded by numerous three-thousand metre peaks offering a unique panorama. It is the world’s largest skiing valley and perfect for skiers of all abilities. Mayrhofen and Hintertux may be the better known ski resorts in the valley, but the Zillertal has so much more to offer than these two ski resorts alone. After extensive work in the 1990s, the Ziller Valley now consists of 7 connected valleys making up a huge ski area with a combined total of 390 miles of downhill slopes.

The village of Fügen

The charming village of Fügen, located at 545 m and approximately 25 miles from Tyrol’s capital Innsbruck, is an ideal base for a solo ski holiday. The bottom of the Spieljochbahn cable car is located in the centre of the village and takes skiers and snowboarders to the top of the Spieljoch mountain in just a matter of minutes. Even advanced skiers will enjoy the run down to Fügen – at 7 km the longest valley descent with snowmaking facilities in the Ziller Valley. A shuttle bus service connects the resort of Fügen with the nearby much larger Hochfügen-Hochzillertal ski region. Fügen has many shops, cafés and restaurants with authentic Tyrolean and European cuisine, as well as rustic ski lodges and après-ski bars.

Book your own flight from any airport in the UK or abroad. Your airport transfers to/from your hotel are included in our prices if you arrive/depart on the advertised holiday dates. Please note that for this solo ski holiday, we will arrange your transfer by:

  • shuttle or taxi from INNSBRUCK AIRPORT shared with other skiers from our group if these arrive within 90 minutes of your arrival, or
  • shuttle from MUNICH AIRPORT (not exclusive for our solo travellers) departing within 90 minutes of your arrival

Single Parents on Holiday Ltd. is a company committed to customer satisfaction and consumer financial protection. We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with the “The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018” all passengers booking with Single Parents on Holiday Ltd. are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation invoice. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Single Parents on Holiday Ltd.
