Solo Beach Holiday in Croatia

Join us on a solo beach break in Croatia, in the beautiful medieval town of Poreč on the pretty west coast of Istria. On this short break exclusively for singles and solo travellers without kids, you will not only have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the warm May sun by the pool or on the beach but you will also be able to discover the best that this beautiful part of Croatia has to offer.

Accommodation:

We will stay at the 4-star Valamar Diamant Hotel & Residence, surrounded by pine trees and only 200 metres from the beach. Our hotel was awarded with Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence in 2017 and has fantastic facilities including a pool landscape, a spa with indoor pool and saunas, a fitness room, indoor and outdoor tennis courts and a multi-purpose sports court. We have reserved superior double rooms for single occupancy, which come with ensuite bathroom and balcony. There is a golf course nearby and jet skiing, paragliding and canoeing and more on the beach.

Things to do on this solo trip:

We will start our sightseeing programme with a visit of the historic seafront city of Pula. Our  solo group will have their own sightseeing tour with a local guide to see the famous Roman amphitheatre and old town centre. On our second day, we will embark on a boat trip along the coastline to the ancient city and fishing port of Rovinj. You can spend the next day relaxing at the pool and beach, play a round of tennis or golf, go for a cycle ride or try some water sports. Our prices:

Our price is £880 for single occupancy, half-board, transfers from/to Pula airport, an excursion programme and the services of our host, who will organise this solo beach holiday. Not included are your flights. For more details please go to Prices & Dates.

Programme

Our programme:

We will supplement this solo beach holiday with an excursion programme exclusively for our group to show you the highlights of this beautiful region of Croatia.

Day 1 – arrival day: Transfer by private taxi directly from the airport to your hotel. Check-in and time to relax at the pool and beach, followed by welcome drinks for our solo group and dinner in the evening at the hotel.

Day 2: Pick up in the morning and transfer by private taxi to the historic seafront city of Pula. Our  solo travellers will have their own sightseeing tour with a local guide to see the famous Roman amphitheatre and old town centre, with free time for lunch and shopping. Return to the hotel at approx. 15:00.

Day 3: Pick up in the morning for a one-hour boat trip along the coastline to the ancient city and fishing port of Rovinj. Free time for lunch and sightseeing or shopping. Return by boat in the afternoon with expected arrival time back at the hotel at 17:00.

Day 4: Free days to relax at the pool and beach, enjoy a round of tennis or golf, go for a cycle ride or join some water sports. After dinner, one evening out in the pretty medieval coastal town of Poreč, for after dinner drinks.

Day 5 – departure day: Check-out and transfer by private taxi directly to the airport.

Optional excursions for Day 4:  Day-trip inland to the medieval villages of Motovun and Groznjan. A half day at the local Motodrom centre with go-karting on a race track. Off terrain guided quad tours. Please note that our day trips to Pula and Rovinj are included in our holiday price, while the optional excursions and sports options (tennis, golf, etc.) are subject to a local surcharge.

About Istria

Croatia: Poreč and Istria

Poreč is located on the peninsula of Istria, immediately south of Slovenia and Italy. Istria is widely considered the most beautiful region of Croatia, rich in history and surrounded by the deep blue waters of the Adriatic Sea. The region was colonised by the Romans in ancient times, who used this beautiful spot as their summer residence. The area has been subject to Venetian, French, Italian and Habsburg rule over the centuries, and was eventually incorporated into Yugoslavia in 1954. Istria was part of Italy in the early twentieth century, and the Italian influence is reflected to this day in Istrian cuisine, architecture, landscape and culture, and the use of Italian as a second language amongst the majority of the population.

Istria has been an insider tip for many years. Its stunning coastline, rolling hills inland and beautiful old towns have attracted visitors from throughout Europe. It is the westernmost region of Croatia, and the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. Boat trips along the beautiful coastline, stopping at different villages along the way, can be taken directly from Poreč. On our solo beach trip we will also visit the town of Pula, home to the most impressive Roman amphitheatre in southeastern Europe, and a beautiful spot in its own right. Pula is also host to a many music festivals throughout the summer months.

Book your own travel:

Book your own flight from any airport in the UK and Ireland. Whilst your flight is not included in this solo beach holiday, we will arrange and include your private airport transfer from PULA AIRPORT if you arrive/depart on the advertised holiday dates. Please note that you will share your airport transfer with other singles or solo travellers in our group if these arrive within 90 minutes of your arrival.

We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with the “The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018” all passengers booking with Single Parents on Holiday Ltd. are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation invoice. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Single Parents on Holiday Ltd.
