Whether you’re single or not, ski holidays are far more fun in the company of like-minded adults. Why not start the year with a group ski holiday for solo travellers in their 40s, 50s and 60s in Austria’s vibrant Mayrhofen, the picturesque Alpine village in the the famous Ziller Valley?

Your Accommodation:

For this solo break, we will stay at the traditional 4-star hotel Neue Post, winner of Tripadvisor’s prestigious Certificate of Excellence (2016-2019). Our hotel is located just off the buzzing centre of Mayrhofen, conveniently located for shops, cafés and après-skiing, as well as the Penken cable car station. Our family-run hotel is furnished in traditional Tyrolean style giving it a cosy feel. Amenities include a restaurant, bar area, café with Austrian patisseries and an indoor pool, as well as a spa with several saunas, steam room, infrared cabin, relaxation areas and treatment rooms for massages.

The Ski Resort – Mayrhofen:

The Penken cable car station, entry to the ski circuit of the famous Zillertal Alps, can be reached on foot in ten minutes or, for those who prefer not to walk, a ski shuttle stops right outside our hotel. Slopes stretch across several mountains up to a height of 2,500 m. There are plenty of slopes for beginner and intermediate skiing in Mayrhofen, as well as a snow park and red and black runs where the more advanced skiers will feel challenged. Our Prices:

£890 for a single room for 5 nights. This price includes half-board accommodation at our 4-star hotel, airport transfers and services of a host, who will stay with our group at the hotel, help with ski hire and lessons, organise group dinners and offer ski guiding for intermediate and advanced skiers. Your Ski Holiday for Solo Travellers in Mayrhofen

Mayrhofen in Austria’s famous Ziller Valley is one of the most famous ski regions in Europe. Slopes reaching an altitude of 2,500 m offer great conditions for a solo ski break. Mayrhofen’s three mountains, Ahorn, Penken and Eggalm, offer a total of 139 km of pistes and 45 modern lifts, with something for all levels of ability: from challenging black runs, including the Harikiri piste on Penken – the steepest piste in Austria – to the more leisurely blue and red runs on Ahorn, which is home to the famous White Lounge, a combination of igloo bar and chill-out lounge. The impressive Penken snow park with 8 different park areas and the Hintertux glacier, where you can ski all year round, are an experience in their own right.

About Mayrhofen

The Resort of Mayrhofen in Tyrol, Austria:

Mayrhofen is located in Austria’s Ziller Valley, approximately one hour from Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. The main ski region in Mayrhofen is Penken, but the resort is also connected to the Ziller Valley (Zillertal) ski area with access to 489 km of downhill skiing, with 91 individual pistes served by 177 ski lifts. Mayrhofen is located close to the Hintertux glacier at 3,250 metres, which offers skiing all year round.

Our hotel is in the centre of the village of Mayrhofen, at the end of the main high street with its wide range of restaurants, bars, cafés and boutiques. Characterised by beautiful Alpine buildings, the resort is lively and fun, and popular with English winter sports enthusiasts.

If you’re looking for a broader winter sports experience on your singles ski holiday, there is also a range of other great sporting activities on offer in Mayrhofen and the surrounding area, including horse-drawn carriage rides through the countryside, snowshoe walks, ice skating and ice curling.

Book your own flight from any airport in the UK and Ireland. Your airport transfers to/from your hotel are included in our prices if you arrive/depart on the advertised holiday dates. Please note that for this solo ski trip, we will arrange your transfer by:

  • shuttle or taxi from INNSBRUCK AIRPORT shared with other solo travellers from our group if these arrive within 90 minutes of your arrival, or
  • shuttle from MUNICH AIRPORT (not exclusive for our group) departing within 90 minutes of your arrival

We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with the “The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018” all passengers booking with Single Parents on Holiday Ltd. are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation invoice. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Single Parents on Holiday Ltd.
