Join us on a single parent beach holiday in Agadir, the jewel of Morocco and experience the charm of the city and its people. With 300 days of sunshine a year, Agadir is the perfect destination for an October half term holiday. Our hotel enjoys a prime location directly on Agadir’s huge, honey-coloured beach. This is a fully-organised single parent holiday hosted by one of Single Parents on Holiday’s tour leaders.

Our 4-star hotel:

We are excited to return to the 4-star Iberostar Waves Founty Beach Hotel, which has won numerous awards, including TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice 2025. Our beautiful family hotel is set in 2,500 acres of gardens, with a pool landscape that includes a children’s pool. The wide beach with its fine golden sand stretches for miles in both directions and has a private area for hotel guests and several water sports centres directly on the beach. For your wellbeing, the hotel also has an indoor pool, a fitness room, spa, and beauty salon.

Agadir is a sunny haven with a colourful harbour, a beautiful sandy beach, and a vibrant surf scene. There is plenty to do here whether you want to explore the culture or feel adventurous and want to try a jeep safari, a Sahara desert trips, surfing, catamaran sailing, and much more. Our prices:

Adults are £1090, the first child (0-14 years) £890, and the second child (0-14 years) £690. This includes all-inclusive board in a standard twin or double room, taxi transfer from/to Agadir airport, and the services of our tour leader. For more details on prices, please go to our prices & dates.

Programme

Kids facilities and kids club:

Our hotel has a kids clubs for  the 4 to 12 olds allowing our single parents time to relax. There is a fun activity programme on offer for younger kids as well as separate activities for teenagers and adults, including water polo, darts, archery, and more.

The beach and water sports:

Our hotel is located directly on the soft golden beach of Agadir that stretches for miles in both directions. There is a private area for hotel guests with sun loungers, parasols, and a lifeguard. If you like water sports, there are several water sports centres near our hotel, where you can rent kayaks, body boards, and surf boards and take surfing or kitesurfing lessons.

Local excursions:

Your SPoH tour leader will be on hand to organise excursions for the group, such as:

  • a guided tour of city of Agadir incl. the hilltop ruins of the old Kasbah and the Souk el Had market, the most authentic souk in Agadir
  • a visit of the old Medina, a beautiful reconstruction of the original old town of Agadir
  • a visit of Taghazout, a small fishing and Berber village north of Agadir.
  • a Sahara desert tour by jeep
  • camel and dromedary riding or quad biking
  • a visit of the impressive Crocopark in Agadir

Evening entertainment

In the evenings, our single parent families dine together at the hotel’s main restaurant or the themed restaurant, where they can indulge in local specialties. After dinner, there are daily shows, live music and discos. If you feel like venturing out of the hotel after dinner, you could go for a stroll along the palm-lined promenade and watch the sun go down from one of the many sea front bars.

About Agadir

The city of Agadir:

Known as the jewel of Morocco and bordering one of the most beautiful bays in the world, Agadir is a popular holiday destination due to its wonderful 9 km long beach and year-round sunshine. It is also one of the major fishing ports serving the area and it is worth going to the port to see the bustling fish auction in the mornings.

Agadir offers a different vibe from most other cities in Morocco. After a tragic earthquake in 1960 that killed 15,000 and left the city’s population homeless, Agadir was rebuilt by the late Mohammed V. The reconstruction took many years. Today, the city’s main attraction are the remains of the 16th century Kasbah perched on a hill in the north of Agadir. It is a popular spot to take photos of the sweeping views of the city below. If you want a glimpse of the old Agadir, the Coco Polizzi Medina is an impressive and beautiful reproduction of the old town and feels truly authentic as you walk through its cobbled streets where master artisans offer their handcrafted goods and the aroma of North African spices fills the air.

Art lovers will appreciate the Amazigh Heritage Museum, a great cultural spot dedicated to the Berbers of the Souss Massa region (the Amazigh) in the South of Morocco. The small folk museum features rugs, folklore costumes, handcrafted jewellery, and other traditional 19th century Moroccan objects. It also exhibits contemporary art. Other places worth exploring are the modern quarter and the charming small village called Immouzer des Ida-Outanane. For an evening stroll, the beachfront promenade, with its countless souks, bars, and restaurants offers plenty of opportunities to shop or refresh.

Airport transfers:

Your airport transfers are included in your holiday price if you arrive/depart on our advertised holiday dates: On this holiday, this means, you will be picked up from Agadir Al Massira International Airport by taxi and taken directly to your hotel where your tour leader will welcome you. Your return transfer is also included in our price. Please note that you might share your airport transfers with other single parent families in our group (short waiting times might apply). Our hotel is approx. 25 km away from the airport.
