Join us in Mayrhofen, the most popular town in the Ziller Valley! This excellent ski region offers snow sure skiing up to 2,500 m, with a fantastic variety of runs, from well-groomed, gentle slopes for beginners to challenging pistes for advanced skiers. This single parent ski holiday is hosted by one or more of our tour leaders, who will organise every aspect of your trip and keep our group company on and off the slopes.

We are excited to return to the 4-star superior Hotel Neue Post, where timeless tradition meets modern elegance. This fabulous family-run hotel is conveniently located just off the high street, close to shops, cafés, and après-ski bars, as well as the two main cable car stations, Penken and Ahorn. Facilities include a restaurant, bar area, wine cellar, kids room, teenage activity lounge/games room, a spa, fitness room, and a ski storage room with private, heated lockers for your equipment. In addition, families can relax at the hotel’s indoor pool and the recently added rooftop pool, which offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.

With runs reaching an altitude of 2,500 m, Mayrhofen is an ideal resort for snow sure Easter ski holidays. Mayrhofen’s three mountains, Ahorn, Penken, and Eggalm, offer plenty of slopes for leisurely cruising and family skiing, as well as more challenging pistes for the more advanced skiers, and a fun snow park. From our hotel, it’s a mere 10 minute walk to the main cable car station Penkenbahn and just a few minutes further to the Ahornbahn. Our prices:

Adults are £1490 with the first child under 10 priced at £1090 and the second child under 10 at £980. Our prices include half board “Plus” accommodation in double/triple rooms, transfers from/to Innsbruck or Munich airport, and the services of our tour leader/s. Not included are your flights, ski hire, lessons, and lift passes.

Mayrhofen in Austria’s famous Ziller Valley is one of the most famous ski regions in Europe. With slopes reaching an altitude of 2,500 m, this resort is an excellent snowsure destination for Easter skiing. Mayrhofen is also part of Ski Zillertal 3000,  which includes the Hintertux Glacier, where slopes reach an altitude of 3,250 m, offering skiing all year round. Here is everything you need to know about Easter skiing in Mayrhofen:

About Mayrhofen

The town of Mayrhofen

Mayrhofen is located in Austria’s famous Ziller Valley, approximately one hour from Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. The town was first mentioned at the start of the 13th century. Whilst Mayrhofen was initially a popular summer destination, it became well known as a ski resort in the 1950s. Today, the main ski regions in Mayrhofen are Penken and Ahorn, but the resort is also part of Ski Zillertal 3000, a combined ski area, which also includes the Hintertux Glacier, an experience in its own right with slopes reaching an altitude of 3,250 m.

Our hotel is in the centre of the town, at the end of the main high street with its wide range of restaurants, bars, cafés, and boutiques. Characterised by beautiful Alpine buildings, the resort has retained its charming character.

Mayrhofen is also one of the best après ski destinations in Austria, with many well-known bars on the mountain and on the high street, including the famous White Lounge. It can get very lively here in peak season, but at other times, the pretty town enjoys an equally relaxed atmosphere.

If you’re looking for a broader winter sports experience on your single parent ski holiday, there is also a range of other family activities on offer in Mayrhofen and the surrounding area, including cross-country skiing, snowshoe walks, an adventure pool with a spa, ice skating, and ice curling.

Flights

Book your own travel:

Book your own flights from any airport in the UK or abroad. Your airport transfers to/from your hotel are included in our price if you arrive/depart on the advertised holiday dates. Please note that for this solo ski holiday, we will arrange your transfer by:

  • taxi from/to INNSBRUCK AIRPORT shared with other single parent families from our group if they arrive within 90 minutes of your arrival, or shuttle (not exclusive for our single parent families). Our hotel is 74 km from Innsbruck airport (just over an hour).
  • shuttle from/to MUNICH AIRPORT (not exclusive for our single parent families) departing within 60 minutes of your arrival. Our hotel is 180 km from Munich airport (approx. 2.5 hours).
