We love the excellent ski region, which offers snow sure skiing up to 2,500 m, with a fantastic variety of runs, from well-groomed gentle slopes for beginners to challenging pistes for advanced skiers. This single parent ski holiday is hosted by one or more of our team members who will organise every aspect of your trip and keep our families company on and off the slopes.

We are excited to return to the 4-star superior Hotel Neue Post, where timeless tradition meets modern elegance. Our family-run hotel is conveniently located just off the high street, close to shops, cafés, and après-ski bars, as well as the Penken cable car station. Facilities include a restaurant, bar area, wine cellar, kids room, teenage activity lounge/games room, a spa, an indoor pool, and a ski storage room with private, heated lockers for your equipment. In addition, our hotel now boasts a fitness room and a new rooftop pool offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.

The ski resort, Mayrhofen:

The Penken cable car station, entry to the ski circuit of the famous Zillertal Alps, can be reached on foot in ten minutes, or, for those who prefer not to walk, a ski shuttle stops right outside our hotel. With runs reaching an altitude of 2,500 m, Mayrhofen is an ideal resort for snow sure Easter ski holidays. There are plenty of slopes for beginners and family skiing in Mayrhofen, challenging pistes for the most advanced skiers, and a fun snow park. Our prices:

Adults are £1450 with the first child under 10 priced at £1050 and the second child under 10 at £945. Our prices include half board “Plus” accommodation in double/triple rooms, transfers from/to Innsbruck or Munich airport, and the services of our tour leader/s. Not included are your flights, ski hire, lessons, and lift passes,

Easter skiing in Mayrhofen:

Mayrhofen in Austria’s famous Ziller Valley is one of the most famous ski regions in Europe. With slopes reaching an altitude of 2,500 m, this resort is an excellent snowsure destination for Easter skiing. Mayrhofen’s three mountains, Ahorn, Penken, and Eggalm, offer a total of 142 km of pistes and 61 modern lifts. There is something here for all levels of ability, from challenging black runs, including the famous Harikiri piste on Penken — the steepest piste in Austria — to the leisurely blue and red runs on Ahorn, which is home to the famous White Lounge, a combination of igloo bar and chill-out lounge. The impressive Penken snow park with 8 different park areas and the Hintertux glacier, where you can ski all year round, are experiences in their own right.

Whether you or your children are new to skiing or want to improve your skills, Austria’s ski schools are renowned for their qualified instructors, who will teach everyone the skills needed to master the sport effortlessly.

About Mayrhofen

Mayrhofen in Austria’s famous Ziller Valley:

Mayrhofen is located in Austria’s famous Ziller Valley, approximately one hour from Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. The town was first mentioned at the start of the 13th century. Whilst Mayrhofen was initially a popular summer destination, it became well known as a ski resort in the 1950s.

The main ski region in Mayrhofen is Penken, but the resort is also connected to the Ziller Valley (Zillertal), a ski area with access to 489 km of runs served by 177 ski lifts. Mayrhofen is also close to the Hintertux Glacier where slopes reach an altitude of 3,250 m, offering skiing all year round.

Our hotel is in the centre of the village of Mayrhofen, at the end of the main high street with its wide range of restaurants, bars, cafés, and boutiques. Characterised by beautiful Alpine buildings, the resort has retained its charming character yet is lively and fun and popular with English winter sports enthusiasts. Families love the pretty town, relaxed atmosphere, and the family-friendly activities on offer. Those looking for some fun après ski, can either stop at one of the well known mountain huts or enjoy the après ski nightlife down in the town.

Book your own flights from any airport in the UK or abroad. Your airport transfers to/from your hotel are included in our price if you arrive/depart on the advertised holiday dates. Please note that for this solo ski holiday, we will arrange your transfer by:

  • taxi or shuttle from INNSBRUCK AIRPORT shared with other single parent families from our group if they arrive within 90 minutes of your arrival, or shuttle (not exclusive for our solo travellers). Our hotel is 74 km from Innsbruck airport (just over an hour).
  • shuttle from/to MUNICH AIRPORT (not exclusive for our single parent families) departing within 60 minutes of your arrival. Our hotel is 180 km from Munich airport (approx. 2.5 hours).
