"As a mother of two young boys aged 4 and 8 and recently widowed, I was fretting about them missing out on a summer holiday simply because I was too scared to go abroad on my own. Then I discovered this company and cannot recommend it enough. The holiday exceeded all my expectations in terms of customer service, the rep whilst we were there, the organised activities and of course the company! I have come away feeling so much stronger as a newly single mum as well as having made amazing friends for life! Can’t wait for my SPOH trip next year!"

"What a fun time we both had! We were apprehensive at first but met some amazing people, in a truly beautiful location. A really good mix of activities for adults and children, with my son being able to go off independently with the other kids and make the most of his holiday. I would recommend this holiday and destinations to anyone. We will definitely book again."

"I had a really wonderful holiday in Montenegro with my 6 year old! It was our first SPOH holiday and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel had beautiful scenery of mountains and beach overlooking the breathtaking Bay of Kotor. It was lovely to meet other families and have the group to spend time with. Jane was a great host! Can’t wait to do another trip!"

"This was our first SPOH and we had a fab time in Montenegro. The hotel was clean and the staff worked really hard. The location is just stunning, views are breath taking. I liked there were loads of sunbeds and so easy to go from the pool to beach. It felt very safe and nice size for the kids. The boat to the old town was nice and good to get out to see some of the area.
Sandra was friendly and helpful which took so much stress away so could relax and just enjoy the holiday. "

"This was my first Single Patents on Holiday vacation as well as first holiday going solo without partner. I was stressed and overwhelmed all the way until we arrived but soon was happy to realize that I had made the best decision I could make for myself and my daughter. Once we got there, I didn’t have to do any thinking. No, what’s for dinner, no what shall we do to be entertained. Our rep, Sandra was so friendly and on the case with all arrangements. Other parents were lovely. For the first time in months, I slept properly and was able to unwind enough to actually read a book. I could only do this as I was comfortable that my 11 year old was having the time of her life and didn’t need me as entertainment. Thoroughly recommend Single Parents on Holiday to anyone who is considering the daunting prospect of holidaying as a single parent. "

"We had a great holiday. I laughed every day. The other mums were great fun and children mixed well and enjoyed their independence taking themselves off to eat, swim, have fun. "What a great holiday! This was my first holiday with the kids as a single parent and I'm really happy that I chose SPOH for it. Both my kids made friends, had a great time, and didn't feel like the odd ones out for only having one parent there. The hotel and location were excellent, it was a really nice group of single parent families, and Sandra was just brilliant. Looking forward to further SPOH holidays in the future!"

"This was my first experience of booking a single parent holiday and I was initially apprehensive. This soon melted away upon arrival. Being able to mix with a group of like minded adults all in the same position made this holiday. The children formed friends quickly and found their own entertainment. I was actually able to relax and not worry, everyone chipped in keeping an eye on the kids. We all formed a great bond as parents and ended up spending a considerable amount of time together. As a single dad this was a revelation and made my holiday. I met some wonderful people, made friends whom I will stay in contact with and my son had one of his best ever holidays.
I cannot recommend Single Parents on Holiday highly enough. If anyone is reading this because they too are feeling apprehensive about booking, please just book, you will not be disappointed."

"This holiday to Montenegro was fabulous on many levels. A group of like minded single parents, caring and fun individuals that made the week so special. Some "me time", some time to relax with adults, some sightseeing time, all of those in a magnificent setting. I could not ask for more! And last but not least, my son had the week of his life, not seeing me ;-) and making new friends. Which ensured my holiday was a success. "This was my first single parent holiday. And it was nice to be together in Montenegro, even if my son (5) and I couldn't integrate so much due to the age difference with the older children and teenagers. But it was still a good feeling to be with other single parent families.
The boat trip with our group to the blue grotto was brilliant. Swimming there in the morning before the other tourist boats arrived was a special experience. Sandra helped me book a bus tour of Montenegro which I did independently of the group, and was able to see so much of this beautiful and impressive country.
The hotel is very nice. I would go there again. The water is crystal clear and the scenery is impressive. With a small boat, which runs almost every hour, you can go directly from the hotel to Heceg Novi (10 minutes). Our room was top notch. I booked sea view and was given a room on the top floor with fantastic views. The food in the restaurant was very good. And we had a nice view. My son was in the kids' club on the last morning and liked what was on offer and the staff were very friendly. Sandra as a host was great. She took care of everything and everyone. She is personal and professional with a lot of passion."

"Montenegro is a beautiful country, Iberostar is a great hotel, I could not fault the attentiveness of the team and the views are stunning. The entertainment team here are brilliant, there were lots of activities throughout the day and the enthusiasm is contagious. The aqua aerobics was a big hit!
Sandra is a great host, very welcoming, she organised various trips/days out and she brought the group together whilst you still had the option to dip in and out if you wish. We couldn't have asked for a friendlier group, a great time was had by both adults and children. I highly recommend it. Thank you for a fantastic holiday!"

"We had the most amazing time. Love the fact you can dip in and dip out of the activities and timings so you have the freedom to make your holiday your own whilst having the comfort of being looked after by a host (thank you Sandra - you are fabulous!). We've made friends for life and my daughter says it was the best holiday we've EVER been on (not that I saw her that much as she was having so much fun with the other kids!!). Will 100% be booking again next year!!"
