Solo ski holiday in famous Zürs am Arlberg:

Come and join us on our first solo ski holiday in Zürs am Arlberg, one of the most exclusive ski resorts in the world, right at the heart of the vast Ski Arlberg area, which is made up of St. Anton, St. Christoph, Stuben, Warth-Schröcken, and Lech-Zürs. This group ski holiday for solo skiers in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s will be hosted by a Single Parents on Holiday team member who will organise every aspect of your trip.

Your 4-star boutique hotel:

We will stay at the 4-star Erzberg Boutique Hotel located in the centre of Zürs right by the Zürsersee chair lift, your entry to the world-famous  Arlberg ski circuit.  We have reserved single rooms with ensuite bathroom on half board basis, which includes an extensive breakfast buffet, après-ski snack, and 6-course dinner. Our boutique hotel has a small spa with sauna, steam room, and relaxation area – the perfect place to unwind after a long day on the piste, as well as a bar where our solo skiers can enjoy a drink after dinner.

Located at 1,717 m, in the heart of the Arlberg ski region, Zürs is the perfect destination for an April ski break. Thanks to the direct connection to several neighbouring ski areas, including Lech and St. Anton, skiers can enjoy a total of 305 km of perfectly groomed pistes and 88 state of the art lifts. Our Prices:

£1650 for a single room with ensuite bathroom. This price includes half board with après-ski snack, airport transfers from/to Innsbruck or Zürich airport and services of our team member who will organise lift passes, ski hire, and ski lessons and offer company on and off the slopes. Programme

Skiing in Zürs am Arlberg

Together with St. Anton/St. Christoph/Stuben and Warth-Schröcken, the Lech-Zürs ski area forms Ski Arlberg. Austria’s largest connected ski resort offers no less than 305 perfectly groomed slopes – an unparalleled choice of blue, red, and black runs for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Ski Arlberg also has no less than 200 km of off piste terrain and outstanding snow parks for adrenaline lovers.

With an excellent snow record and slopes reaching up to 2,800 m, Zürs is the perfect choice for spring skiing. The village itself is located at 1,700 m with as many as 7 lifts in the village centre making it a fantastic ski in/ski out resort.

Other things to do in Zürs am Arlberg:

If you want to try out some other winter sports activities, the resort has 27 km of well groomed cross-country tracks and 67 km of winter hiking trails. For daredevils there is also helicopter skiing and speed riding (a combination of skiing and paragliding) on offer whilst the 4 km long toboggan run in St. Anton is open for flood-lit tobogganing a couple of evenings a week – an experience not to be missed!

There is a fair amount of on-mountain partying going on in the area. Later on, you can head to one of the stylish pubs and posh cocktail bars in the village, followed by the Bergwerk bar – or the Zürserl Pleasure Lounge if you are up for dancing. For those seeking a livelier experience, the buzzy resort of St Anton has many renowned bars with live music and partying, like the Krazy Kanguruh, whilst the more upmarket Lech is popular with royals and rock stars.

Zürs also offers itself for a stroll to check out the sports, souvenir, and fashion shops or one of the lovely cafés and bars in the village which all have a great atmosphere.

The resort and village of Zürs am Arlberg in Austria:

Located in the West of Austria, in the province of Vorarlberg near the Flexenpass, Zürs is a trendy ski resort in the famed Arlberg region. The Arlberg region is seen as the pioneer of winter sports by many as the first skiing lessons were held here by locals for guests in 1906 and the first lift  was built in 1937.

Today, Zürs has established itself as one of the world’s elite winter sports destinations, with a range of luxurious hotels, trendy bars, and gourmet restaurants. The lifts in the centre of the village offer easy excess to perfectly groomed pistes. For the past few years, Zürs has been connected to the neighbouring Stuben, St. Christoph, and St. Anton via the Trittkopfbahn and Flexenbahn cable cars giving visitors access to the entire Ski Arlberg region. Zürs is said to have the second-best snow fall record in the Alps, so is renowned for its amazing snow conditions, the result of a combination of its high altitude and snowy microclimate.

When it comes to après skiing, Zürs may be notably quieter in the evening than nearby St. Anton, yet equally popular and fashionable with the rich and famous, attracted by the luxurious hotels, fine spas, and gourmet restaurants the area has to offer.

"This was my 4th solos ski trip with SPOH & I was not disappointed. I have been in this region before but it was a first for SPOH. The Erzberg Hotel is a lovely family run boutique hotel with the added bonus of being ski-in, ski-out. The Arlberg region is vast covering St Anton, Stuben, Zurs, Lech, Warth/Schrocken. Sandra as always was an excellent host. I was slightly concerned that 6th April was going to be a bit late for a skiing trip but I needn't have worried, there was lots of snow. Yes it did get a bit slushy in the afternoon but only to be expected at this time of the year. I am in my late 60s & would highly recommend this trip to others, I will definitely be booking again next year. "

Book your own flight from any airport in the UK and abroad. Your airport transfers to/from your hotel are included in our prices if you arrive/depart on the advertised holiday dates. Please note that for this solo ski trip, we will arrange your transfer by:

  • shuttle or taxi from/to INNSBRUCK AIRPORT shared with other solo travellers from our group if these arrive within 90 minutes of your arrival, or
  • shuttle from/to ZÜRICH AIRPORT (not exclusive for our group) at designated times

We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with the “The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018” all passengers booking with Single Parents on Holiday Ltd. are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation invoice. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Single Parents on Holiday Ltd.
